Website Terms

Version 1.0 · Effective August 22, 2026

The short version. The full text is what governs, but this is the shape of it.

  • This site exists to show our work and to let you send us a brief.
  • The renders, images and words on it are ours. Look at them, link to them, share them. Do not republish, resell, or feed them to a model.
  • We do not promise the site is always up or always current, and nothing on it is a binding offer — your quote is.
  • Commissioning a build is governed by the Commission Terms, not by this page.

1. What these terms cover

By using ovout.net you accept these terms. They cover the website itself: the pages, the portfolio, and the material published on them.

They do not cover a commission. If you commission a build, that transaction is governed by our Commission Terms, and what we do with your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy. Where this page and the Commission Terms say different things about a commission, the Commission Terms win.

2. Everything on this site is ours

The build renders and screenshots, the portfolio pages, the writing, the layout, the code, and the Ovout Studios name and logo belong to us or are used with permission. They are protected by copyright, and publishing them here does not put them in the public domain.

The renders carry more weight than they appear to. Each one is the record of work someone paid for, and most of them are builds we licensed to a client exclusively. A render of a client’s spawn turning up on somebody else’s listing is not a nuisance to us — it takes from that client the exclusivity we sold them. That is why this section exists, and why we act on it.

Where an image shows a build commissioned by a client, it is published under the portfolio arrangement in section 11 of the Commission Terms. Client names and logos appear only where we are permitted to show them.

3. What you may and may not do

You may, without asking us: browse the site, link to any page on it, quote a short passage with attribution and a link back, and save a page for your own reference.

You may not, without our written permission:

  • republish, sell, license or redistribute any image, render or text from this site;
  • present any build shown here as your own work, in a portfolio, a marketplace listing or anywhere else;
  • use our images in an advertisement, a shop listing, a video thumbnail or a server banner;
  • use any part of this site to train, fine-tune or build a dataset for a machine learning model;
  • systematically scrape or bulk-download the site, or try to get around the measures that protect it;
  • interfere with the site, probe it for weaknesses, or point automated tools at the quote form;
  • use the site to break the law, or to send us unlawful, infringing or abusive content.

If you want to use something — press coverage, a partner page, a server showcase — just ask at [email protected]. The answer is usually yes, and it is quick.

4. The site comes as it is

We do not guarantee that the site is available at all times, free of errors, or up to date. Prices, availability and the portfolio change, and we may alter or remove anything on it at any time.

Nothing on this site is a binding offer. Scopes, examples and any figures shown are indicative. The only binding numbers are the ones in a quote we send you.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using the site, or from not being able to use it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud — and nothing here affects the mandatory rights you have as a consumer where you live.

The site links out to places we do not control, including our Discord and marketplaces where our Build Shop listings are sold. Once you leave ovout.net, that platform’s own terms and privacy policy apply and ours stop. We are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.

Ovout Studios is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang AB or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang AB.

6. Changes, and which law applies

We may update these terms. Every version has a version number and an effective date, and older versions stay online at their own address. The version live when you use the site is the one that applies to that visit.

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the Studio is established, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections of your own country that apply to you, and any dispute is subject to the courts of that same country. We will tell you which country that is on request at [email protected], and it is named in your quote if you go on to commission a build — before any payment is due, so you know before you are committed to anything.

If something goes wrong, write to us first. Most things are settled that way.
